Hero stories have been with us forever, even before women invented written language — Odysseus’ perilous voyage, or Anansi, the bringer of stories and wisdom to humankind. As a child I listened to these stories and wondered, “Hey where are the girls?”

The sad truth was there were none. Zero. Zilch. Nada.

When I began writing, and I pondered what stories I wanted to tell, I remembered how lost I felt as a little girl when I saw no reflection of myself on the pages of a book.

So here I am. Filling that void with my own women’s adventure stories.

Today, I live in Colorado with my family, (which includes two rescued dogs: Archer, and Lego, and one rescued cat, Garbanzo)—not always in harmony, but where’s the fun in that.  And I place my stories in Great Britain from the mid-Georgian era (1765) through the Regency period (1820) because I love history, and this is a period of great changes: war with Napoleon, the Industrial Revolution, the beginnings of the middle class, and the newly freed New World Colonies were establishing themselves on the world stage. Exciting times.

Each of my novels stands alone, but I hope you’ll read them all. I love my characters, and it gives me great pleasure to share their stories with you. When you’ve finished a book, I have two requests: post a review of my work on your favorite website(s), and send me an ‘Ask the Author’ question on the front page of this website. I record answers to your questions and post them several times a month.
